I love following world travelers on Instagram. It inspires me to travel more, introduces me to places I haven’t seen yet and sets my own intention of what I want in my life, living vicariously through someone else. At the same time, I also have a little chuckle because Instagram is a world of perfection. It’s perfect cappuccinos in Italy and perfect sunsets in Greece. I always wonder about the story you DON’T see as I know travel is rarely perfection. You don’t always get the sunset, the good weather or on the right plane! That is not in any way to negate those perfect moments, because they are breathtaking and inspiring! Let’s just say that’s not this blog post… 😉
My husband and I camped down the west coast to arrive at a friends house in Los Angeles just in time for their epic Halloween party. I’ve taken the trip twice before but didn’t have my DSLR at the time. Needless to say, with my Nikon in tow, I was wildly excited to capture the cliffs, the blue water, the flowers! Everything I remember a trip down the PCH to be…
Well, Martha Fockers, it rained the entire trip!!! Those gorgeous views were clouded in fog and the roads were covered in rain. Because we had to be more cautious on the PCH, we didn’t have as much time when we stopped.
All that to say… here are the pictures I took Day One of our trip down the coast.
Sometimes travel is about having a good sense of humor. 🙂
More to come!
